Rocky Ridge Ranch Homeowners Association (RRRHA)
Rocky Ridge Ranch Homeowners Association is a residential association located in the NW quadrant of the city of Calgary, Alberta, registered under the Alberta Societies Act as 1135215 Society, operating as Rocky Ridge Ranch Homeowners Association (RRRHA). When the sub-division was developed, the developer and constructors wrote an "encumbrance" into the title of the homes, to secure an annual payment from the registered owner to be used for the general upkeep of the neighborhood, as per the Land Titles Act (Alberta) and the Law of Property Act (Alberta). Upon completion of the final phase of construction of the Rocky Ridge Ranch sub-division in 2003, all responsibilities for the amenities and lands were conveyed to RRRHA. RRRHA elects from its membership unpaid volunteers who serve as directors to oversee the affairs of the society. Until 2015, the Board of Directors was an administrative board, taking day-to-day responsibility for the operation with the help of an office manager, landscape manager and part-time staff. In 2016, the Board is transitioning to a governance board, retaining oversight of internal controls, but delegating routine operational matters to a full-time Operations Manager and Facilities Manager. All homeowners who are up to date with their encumbrance fees are considered "members in good standing" which entitles them to attend, vote, or stand for election at any general meetings of the society.
Mission Statement
To enhance the value and properties of Rocky Ridge Ranch through judicious self-management of all lands, properties and assets and to enhance the programs made available through our Ranch Centre which best serve our community's diversity, providing additional homeowner value and benefit.
